Chrissy Eze

Originally from Nigeria, Chrissy arrived in Australia in 1986 and began her Masters Degree in Business Administration. After building a career in Human Resource Management for over thirty years, Chrissy commenced her transition into Counselling in 2020.

Passionate about helping others, especially orphans overseas, Chrissy is involved in various charity projects, including work with the King’s Church Community Care organisation in Reedy Creek. Chrissy’s special interest in women’s health stemmed from her personal experiences with grief and loss and wanting to be able to support other women with healing their minds, bodies and relationships.

With two adult children and a grandson, Chrissy says that raising her children to become happy and independent adults has been one of her greatest achievements in life

Outside of work, Chrissy enjoys bush walking, reading, cooking and entertaining guests. Self-nurturing is also important to Chrissy, and she finds indulging in activities such as listening to music, mediation, yoga, going to the movies and dancing to be good for the soul.

Achievements in Women’s Health

Provision of a safe space and genuine partnership for women to process health issues and understand their feelings, emotions and behaviours.
Supported women to explore hard emotional issues, understand their feelings, emotions, and thoughts and use thier understanding to regain a sense of control over their situations thereby reducing feelings of anxiety and hopelessness.
Helped women to gain insight, become self-aware, refocus, adjust and cope with their situations and struggles.
Supported and guided women to translate abstract issues of concerns into concrete goals, actions and achieve the changes they desire.
Provided information, education and coaching that inspired uncovering of unhelpful patterns and behaviours and taking steps and actions that resulted in behaviour modification and change.
Provided new skill sets and strategies that enabled emotional regulations, motivation, re-focusing and achievement of stated goals.
Enabled women to recognise their inner strengths, feel empowered resulting in increased self-esteem and confidence to overcome negative thoughts and self-image.

My passion for women's health was developed out of personal tragedy and the realisation there is limited support for women in these situations. This fuelled my passion and commitment to work towards a career that would enable me to dedicate my time, effort, skills and knowledge in supporting women to overcome their vulnerabilities by drawing from my knowledge and resilient built, life and professional experiences in field of human resource management.
