Dr Farish Begum

FRACGP, MBBS, Diploma in Child Health

After completing her MBBS and internship in Fiji, Dr Farish migrated to Australia. After working in multiple hospitals including Westmead, Nepean, Auburn, WCH and also locum in private hospitals, Dr Farish moved to Dubbo and completed her Fellowship. Looking back fondly on her time in Dubbo, Dr Farish says that she adored her time working at Aboriginal Medical Services in Wellington, before she ended up settling in Blacktown.

Outside of Medicine, you will find Dr Farish enjoying outdoor sports or spending time with her family, including 3 beautiful boys who mean the world to her.

I believe women’s health matters! Women so often are so busy looking after their family’s health and wellbeing that they forget to take out time for their own health. I think it’s important to help educate and provide a high level of care to women so that they feel supported and safe to then be able to best care for others around them.
