Dr Olivia Waturuocha

With initial post graduate training in psychiatry in the UK, Dr Olivia is well versed in adult mental health, child and adolescent mental health, old age, brain injuries and disabilities.

Completing her general practice training in the UK, Dr Olivia went on to practice in different parts of London and the East of England, leading her to complete a diploma in sexual and reproductive health. During her gynaecology rotation as a GP trainee, Dr Olivia and developed a keen interest in women’s health.

Obtaining a scope certification in obesity/weight management, Dr Olivia is keen to help women address their weight concerns, empower them to take control of their lifestyle and improve their confidence.

Moving to Australia in 2011 with her family, Dr Olivia was awarded the FRACGP qualification and has been practicing as a GP ever since.

Achievements in Women’s Health

I have supported women with their mental health issues and challenges at various levels, their struggles with fertility, menopause, contraception, sexual and reproductive health, weight management and chronic pelvic pain.
I have had a large female practice base for many years and being able to provide a safe environment for them to talk about their problems in a non-judgemental way is very motivating and rewarding.

I am passionate about women’s health because I have come across women from different walks of life with health issues, which they are too embarrassed to talk about.

I love to support any manner of empowerment of women to be confident in discussing their health issues without any prejudice or fear of being judged.
