Dr Salina Ahmed

MBBS, FRACGP, Advanced Certificate of Women's Health, Certificate of Shared Obstetric Care, Diploma of Skin Cancer Surgery

Completing her medical degree in Bangladesh in 2003, Dr Salina worked as a gynaecology & obstetric registrar for 2 years before moving to Australia in 2008 and becoming a full time GP.

Completing her Fellowship from the RACGP in 2019, Dr Salina taught at University of Adelaide’s medical and dental schools for two years before relocating to Newcastle where she qualified for shared antenatal obstetric care from the University of Newcastle. Having now been working as a skilled general practitioner for over 20 years, Dr Salina has a wide variety of experience from rural health to urban busy practices.

Outside of medicine, Dr Salina enjoys looking after her gorgeous daughters and spending time in nature with friends and family. With a bit of a green thumb, Dr Salina is also passionate about her vegetable garden and cooking spicy food!
