Dr. Hana Sandrik

MD, CCFP, FRACGP

Maroubra Medical & Dental Centre - Maroubra

After completing her medical studies at Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia, Dr Hana then relocated to Canada where she completed her specialty training in family medicine at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.

The next destination for Dr Hana was the move with her family to Australia, and she has been practicing here as a GP for 11 years.

With a special passion for youth and Women’s Health, Dr Hana wants to help educate her patients as much as possible. She also collaborates with the RACGP to assist in educating and examining future GPs (medical students).

Outside of medicine, Dr Hana loves spending time with her family doing a variety of activities and sports such as hiking, biking, skiing and camping.

Achievements in Women’s Health

Being a part of the “FACES” volunteer program – Family, children and women’s health education, screening and treatment in rural Kenya (as part of elective residency training organised by University of California San Francisco, Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics)

Trained in IUD and Implanon insertion and removal

As a woman, it feels natural for me to look after Women's Health. Managing menstrual and sexual health, cervical screening, breast health and menopause can be daunting, I aim to provide a comfortable space for women to talk about their concerns freely
